The last edition of 'What's your say?' It's been a whirl wind experience hearing all the wonderful things God has done for each and everyone of those who contributed to this section. It has now reached its climax. Redeemed is around 24 hours away and the final person we received his contribution from is none other than, final semester mass communications student Jonathan Mah. Being a former committee member serving as the President and Publicity coordinator of CF, Jonathan shares with us how God has been faithful to him and how CF has helped him grow as a person spiritually.

Well what can I say? It's been an amazing journey being in CF for the last 3 years. Through out these 3 fantastic years God's been really faithful. He's done things which I never knew were possible. This Easter I look back in remembrance of how God has provided for me and even more. However, the one thing I will never cease to thank Him for is how He sent His one and only Son to die for our sins. Though unworthy all of us are, He did it out of love for you and me.

This Easter would probably be my last Easter as a UCSI CF member and a student as I will be moving on into another phase of my life as I graduate. But throughout the years, God's guided me into the decisions and actions I should take and He's been there every single step of the way guiding me in every single thing I do. On sharing the gospel, I like many other still do get cold feet when I want to share the gospel with my friends. I can't seem to find the right words to say or how to kick start the conversation. But if it's one thing I've learned, is that you don't have to ALWAYS use words to share the gospel. You can start by using your lives. Live your life as representatives of Christ showing others His grace and mercy through your lives. Most importantly, allow God to guide, teach and mold you. You'd be surprised on how things will turn out.

Life-RW was an extraordinary experience, how God worked that night in UCSI was simply amazing. The friend's I knew who were saved and how God worked in their lives was beyond words can describe. It's opportunities like these I indirectly get to share the gospel with my friends. Redeemed 09' is one such similiar opportunity. Bring your friends for it too!I urge you to come for the event, don't treat it as just any ordinary event.

Treat this as a personal invitation to come for Redeemed 09'.

It's right around the corner and it's not too late to come. Trust me you won't regret this!

See You SOON!

Here we go...

Are you ready for Redeemed 09'? This edition was done probably half way across the world right up north in the freezing cold tundra's of Russia. Aaron Kong, completed his A-levels at UCSI in January 2008. After which he left our shores to persue a degree in medicine at a university in Russia. For this second to last edition of 'What's your say?', he shares with us his experiences of being in CF as well as the challenges he faced when adapting into Russian culture. He gives all glory to God in allowing him to settle in perfectly in Russia.

While we are often busy with what life has installed for us, we sideline what God has installed for us!

Being involved in Life-RW 2008 brings me many memories to rejoice and remember all my life. The 500 strong audiences who had come to worship God and those who came to experience His everlasting goodness in Life-RW is still fresh to me as I was on stage that night. God’s presence was there alright and I know for sure He will be there again in Redeemed ’09.
He sent His only Son, yeah, surely He did – history proved it! What makes it so special is that it comes with ‘The Freedom of being Redeemed and Re-Written’. When I first tasted His goodness, the release was so great, it swept me off my burdens and I instantly answered His calling to draw back to Him. I knew that it would not be a dull experience because His call came with much comfort and reassurance; He has been faithful till this very day. God showed me how it feels like to walk by the road that He has prepared for me! – Our God is a vibrant God, He carries all our sorrows.

Redemption of sin comes with all the goodness that God has installed for us. It means we choose to follow Him and respond to all His plans and desires. For me, I was never afraid of walking the trail that He tells me to take for He will not lead me to a cliff and lead me to a fall. He will cushion my fall of my mistake and hold me in His loving arms like a Father would when his child is sick. Now that He has placed me in Russia, it is also for His cause, to continuously grow in Him as a branch would grow off a tree and bear fruit. During my days as a member in the UCSI CF, I was happy that He also made use of my little skills which was printed on shirts, banners and posters and all glory goes to Him!

As Redeemed ’09 is fast approaching, it is my prayer to all who will be attending and those involved, to have a testimony to share about this Easter about our God who redeems, loves, cares, heals, guides, our closest friend who comforts, shelters, provides, shares and carries all our sorrows and experience His everlasting goodness. Though I will not be in Malaysia during Redeemed ’09, but my prayers for the entire committee and the rally will be in my heart.

God bless!

Life-RW 2008

It's about a week till Redeemed 09'. So we'd thought we'd share with you guys some pictures of what went down last year. Time really flies and it's already been a year since Life-RW. Redeemed 09' will come and go as fast as Life-RW did.

Our mission remains the same as ever before; to share God's love with the people that matter most to us in our lives. Redeemed 09' is the perfect opportunity to do so though may I add NOT the ONLY opportunity to do so.

However the question remains, has your life been re-written or your life been redeemed? As we approach the home stretch gearing up for Redeemed 09', Eow- Li Ann shares with us her fond memories of Life-RW as being part of the organizing committee last year.

I can’t believe it’s been a year since “Life Re-writable”. On a personal level, 2008 was of the toughest times I’ve had in UCSI. However, being in the Easter Rally’s organizing committee had been a great blessing to me. I was initially only in charge of ushering until I was told later that we needed more counselors. I actually didn’t see myself being involved as one because I thought counseling believers/non meant knowing the bible from the book of Genesis to Revelation (which I obviously don’t. Ouch!). Least did I know that God was trying to speak to me through using me to speak to others. Well, it’s a cliché – but I guess he DOES work in amazing ways.

Easter serves to remind us of the things God has done for us in our lives. Right from the day He sent his son to die on the cross for us. It need not be a solemn event, because the reasons for Easter are in fact all the reasons we should be celebrating it! The cross symbolizes the greatest love ever and it is for the cross that our sins can be forgiven, our lives Rewritable, Redeemed.

Life RW 08 was a blast and I am definitely looking forward to Redeemed 09, how about you?

What's your say?

We're inching ever closer to the 31st of March 2009. Exactly 10 more days. Today on "What's your say?" we have probably the KING of lame jokes to share with us a more serious side on what Easter means to him. ENJOY!

Easter to me signifies Jesus Christ’s victory over death. This victory guaranteed us eternal life to all who believe in Him. We also need to remember his death on the cross and the suffering and torment He went through because of His everlasting love for us and the washing of our sins. How often have we just taken this act of love from Jesus for granted and many a times too occupied with our surrounding and just forget to tell Him how much we love him and are ever so grateful for his love for us.. Isn’t it amazing that Christianity is all about having a personal and close relationship with God. How we, so unworthy of His love can be his children? God has always been present in my life, going with me through troubled times and joyful moments. He is not only my God; He is also my trusted friend. Over the years, I have learned to trust in Him more and indeed it has changed me!

Psst! Redeemed ’09 is fast approaching. Do take this opportunity to bring your friends so that they too can experience God’s love in their lives as you have. The rally verse spoke to her in a very personal way. To find out more, let's here what Ann has to say in this edition of "What's your say?".

Easter rally Life-RW was a great and successful event in 2008. By God's grace there are 500 people came on that night. I thank God that i had the chance to serve Him in the worship team and He had blessed us throughout the few months practices.

One of the performance i remember is the 'mime'. The effects was awesome! The song of the mime spoke to my heart. The song by Casting crown "Who am i". answering the questions i asked for some time. Who am i? do i really deserve God's love? do God really care for me? God said He loves us not because who we are, what we've done, but who He is. He sent Jesus to died on the cross for our sins, He forgives us all who willingly surrender His everything to God. He is our father who will catch us when we fall and gives us new life. John 10:10 "I have come that they may have life and have it to the full". Life-Rw was a reminder for me about God's amazing love, knowing he is always there when I need Him. "After some rough early going," he wrote, "they are getting used to not having modern conveniences and are falling in love with the people."

A photo showed the couple's 2-year-old-son Wesley and a waiter in a restaurant, both grinning widely as they shared a moment of friendship. My friend commented, "Ever smiling, Wesley makes friends wherever he goes." That got me to thinking. Making friends and loving people is the key to sharing the gospel wherever we are, because that's what Jesus did.

Some religious leaders were surprised when Jesus openly associated with people they considered undesirable. They said to His disciples, "How is it that He eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?" (Mark 2:16). Yet Jesus was known as the friend of sinners. He said, "I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance" (v.17).

A loving heart and a friendly smile go a long way to communicate the love of Christ to the people we meet each day. May they say of us, as they did of little Wesley, "Ever smiling, he makes friends wherever he goes." — <a title="David C. For me, it is a time where I reflect on the goodness of God, that his love is so great and selfless, for Him to choose to die on the cross for someone so unworthy as me.

Contrary to popular believe, being a Christian doesn’t mean that life is going be smooth sailing and perfect. But it means that God is with us and in us and will NEVER forsake us as long as we cling to him in times of trouble. This is an amazing assurance that one must experience in order to comprehend. I have my fair share of hardships and disappointments, but I can assure you that God’s grace has been sufficient for me! Of course, sometimes I do wish “Oh lord, please make this problem/person disappear into thin air, I don’t want to suffer anymore”. :) But His plans are always the best, and He will only give good things to us, His children.

This year, I hope that my family and friends will also experience the joy of Easter, that is Jesus is risen from the dead and He is lord. ;)

Tick Tick Tick...

Do you have a clock or watch available with a secondhand on it? Stop and follow that hand as it ticks away 1 minute. Those seconds, of course, are the way we measure time, and time is the very essence of our lives. By the time you reach the age of 75, the clocks and watches of this world will have ticked away a total of nearly 2.5 billion seconds.

Bernard Berenson, an internationally famous art critic, had a zest for life. Even when he was in ill health, he cherished every moment. Shortly before he died at age 94, he said to a friend, "I would willingly stand at street corners, hat in hand, asking passersby to drop their unused minutes into it." Oh, that we would learn to appreciate the value of time!

We certainly don't want to be so time-conscious that we become driven workaholics, neglecting our families, never relaxing with our friends, too busy to smell the roses or admire a sunset. Yet Paul urged us to redeem the time (Ephesians 5:15-16), and Moses prayed, "Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom" (Psalm 90:12).

Let's ask the Lord to help us appreciate the value of time. It’s an occasion less hyped up than Christmas yet its significance transcends the latter. While Christmas is a celebration of the birth of baby Jesus, Easter commemorates the reason Jesus was sent down to earth in the first place. The reason He had to go through all the sufferings and humiliation. It’s for you and me. Unworthy sinners and yet God saw something worthy enough to send His only Son to die on the cross for us, to bear our sins, or as the theme of this coming Easter Rally puts it, to REDEEM us. For God loves us and intend for us to have eternal life with Him in heaven.

(John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.)

I remember very clearly the first time I heard of the reason behind Easter =) It was profoundly the most significant time of my life. The feeling is as though I was blind before and I’m able to see for the first time. So drama rigghht.. but it’s true! I was really touched by God’s love for us and that was the moment I accepted Christ into my heart and life. I can’t thank God enough for His grace and mercy upon my life and most of all, His love.

Last year’s Easter Rally was GREAT no doubt. It was great in the sense that God’s presence was so strong amongst us and many were touched that day. The committee and others involved in the rally worked hard and their efforts truly glorified God. The performances spoke to many and the message conveyed by the pastor (alamak I forgot his name ><) cut through hearts. The peak of the event? People were saved =) So I pray that this year’s rally would be a GREAT one too =) May many be able to hear the story of His wonderful love as I did before. Well I really enjoyed preparing for the rally; staying back for all thing practices... all the mamak and bonding sessions... a lot of laughs...oh!! for those who went for last year's rally.Yes I am the glowing pants and for the last time!! my apologies!! but the presentation was still wonderful~ haha..

Well last year's rally theme was "Life Re-writable", the theme really spoke to me and made me realise again that Jesus Loves us and gave us this second chance to rewrite our lives and through Jesus we can have a new life. So now I am excited for what God has installed for my life =)

Everybody deserves a chance to rewrite their lives... haha

Redeemed 09' Promo Video

Ladies and Gentleman, it's been a month in the making and today at our weekly CF meeting marked the world premier of Redeemed09's official promo video. Currently pursuing a degree in physiotherapy at Masterskill College, Aaron relates to us his experiences at UCSI CF and ultimately what Easter means to him.

It was a great honor to be involved in last year’s Easter rally. Was also a really great encouragement to see how UCSI CF has grown through the years and also to see such a big crowd as the event. The theme ‘Life-RW’ was something that I could connect with last year as I was going through some tough times in my life. Looking back from almost a year on is so great seeing how God has worked through my life and also how God worked through UCSI CF ever since I left UCSI in February 2007.

Easter to me used to be just a usual church celebration and a world-wide remembrance of the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, but it changed for me after last year. Looking back to that cross at Calvary means so much more now. Its so much more then just a place that my sins were forgiven, it’s a place where all my troubles and worries lay. A place of redemption, a place where my life can be re-written. That cross really brings hope in my times of troubles, to know that Christ conquered over death and sin, all trails and temptation.

Dear God...

This item appeared in a newspaper after the 1999 fatal shooting at Columbine High School in Colorado:

Dear God: Why didn't You save the children of the Littleton school? —Sincerely, a student

Dear Student: I am not allowed in schools. —Sincerely, God

The intended message seems clear: If we bring God back into the public schools by allowing prayer and Bible reading, then such tragedies would not occur. Whether you agree with that sentiment or not, one thing is sure—laws can't keep God out of school. They didn't that fateful day at Columbine High! God reached out to the gunmen through those who confessed their faith in Christ before being shot. He was there in the courage of a teacher who gave his life helping students escape.

God may be doing His greatest work when evil seems to triumph. When Job looked back, he saw that his suffering gave him a new understanding of God (Job 42:5-6). At Calvary, man crucified the only sinless One who ever lived, yet God turned history's darkest day into man's redemption.

Are you facing a great injustice? Keep trusting God. Those who go through the greatest darkness are those who most fully appreciate the glory of His light. — <a title="Dennis J. Well Joanne Lee; a final semester foundation in science student tells us exactly what Easter is all about through her eyes. So what about the bunnies and eggs? It’s all about cute little bunnies and colourful eggs and of course, chocolate eggs! Well, that was what I thought when I was much younger! (I don’t mind receiving chocolate eggs on Easter though. It’s food after all. :P)

Today, Easter means much more to me. Easter – the day Jesus Christ resurrected from the dead. Easter reminds me of the pain and suffering Jesus went through. He died on the cross for you and I and He took away our sins along with Him. I find it the most amazing thing that I’ve ever came across. It is because of God’s love for us that He chose to redeem us. It is because of this day that I’ve found my Saviour and my Lord. I’m glad that I have been redeemed!

This would be my first Easter rally in UCSI University and I’m really looking forward to it. So people, are you excited for it? I know I am!

The L word...

In the movie Fever Pitch, Ben Wrightman is crazy about the Boston Red Sox baseball team. He rarely misses a game during the spring and summer months.

One winter, Ben falls in love with a young woman named Lindsey and wins her heart. Then spring rolls around, and she finds out that he’s a different person during baseball season. He has no time for her unless she goes to the games with him.

When Lindsey ends her relationship with Ben because of his fanaticism, he talks with a young friend, who says, “You love the Sox. But tell me, have they ever loved you back?” Those words cause Ben to analyze his priorities and to give more time to the woman he loves, who loves him back.

We pour our lives into hobbies, pleasures, activities, work—many good things. But two things should always be thought about when making our choices. Jesus said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart . . . . You shall love your neighbor as yourself” (Matt. 22:37,39).

When it seems our life is getting out of balance, the question, “Has that hobby or activity or thing ever loved me back?” may help to keep us in check. Loving God and loving people are what really count. — Anne Cetas

Follow with reverent steps the great exampleOf Him whose holy work was doing good:So shall the wide earth seem our Father’s temple,Each loving life a psalm of gratitude. —Whittier

We show our love for God when we share His love with others.

What's your say?

On this edition of 'What's your say?' we have someone who was a great source of inspiration and encouragement to the older CF members. It was like wah super worth-while even after the long hours of practice and preparation for the rally(especially for final year-final sem student like myself). I must admit sometimes i dread to come for practice (please forgive me sometimes when it rains and the bed looks so inviting and the thought of walking all the way to college across the mountains and seas *ok maybe not that far* but still!) yea anyway it was just the walking part...cos i enjoy every bit of the practice!!! AWESOME FELLOWSHIP!!! BEING ABLE TO LAUGH OUT LOUD FROM WITHIN!!! CRANKY CF-ERS, THE AFTER-PRACTICE DINNER =) which i super-gila miss!!! I would give up all the lolipops and cotton candy in the world to return to those days.

I don't know about you all but I've always have this HUGE lump at the back of my throat whenever I try to share Gospel with someone hence I'm thankful for rallies cos I'm not the one to have to share with my friend but yet I'm playing a part to contribute to the process..which is to invite, pray n hey to be able to just watch the beauty of God's miraculous work. I cannot simply describe the feeling i had when i was crying with a new believer when she says the sinner's prayer.

I don't know how this year's Easter rally will turn out for you but I'm excited to hear your share of story soon =)

Treasure every moment of being a student

What's your say?

This next person who dropped us his testimonial is no stranger to us. Known to everyone as an avid Mariah Carey fan, second year accounting & finance student, Kelvin Kuan shares with us his views on what Easter is all about. It’s not just a time of exchanging basket gifts and candies or even making Easter eggs and the over-marketed Easter bunny all around. It’s actually a celebration that all Christians are proud of and give thanks for because their personal Lord and Saviour has sacrificed His own life just to redeem our lives. I can’t begin to tell how grateful I am for the goodness of God in sending His only Son, Jesus to redeem us from our sins. Because of His amazing love and sacrifice, we now have a reason to live and to look forward to eternal life with Him. It’s truly a mind-blowing act of love yet very true.

If you’ve been to last year’s Easter Rally, Life RW, you would have only one word to describe – Wow! I would not give it up to go for another event. I’ve personally experienced the love of God again even though I’ve heard the message for so many times already. It just goes to show how God speaks to me again and again. I was glad I was able to participate in some of the performances that evening and it was a blessing to my soul to later find out that my friends were blessed by the performances. With the whole Multi-Purpose hall filled up that evening, I would say that it’s God’s blessings to bring in the people and speak to them in ways that we can never imagine.

It’s not only a mere successful event, but it’s a testimony of God’s love at the same time. Two thumbs up for the planning committee and praise God for their time and effort. With last year’s many positive reviews and feedbacks, I’m sure this year’s would be a blast where it can be a blessing as well as an event that touches people’s life. I have already marked my calendar for this awesome celebration. May God bless the planning committee and make it yet again, a great event that shines His bright and righteous name.

What's your say?

This time around we have Ms. Lim Su Ann; the former CF secretary. It is not something that we should take for granted.

I realized how sometimes I tend to take God’s love for granted. I become so distracted and busy trying to achieve all the things I want in this world. Consider what the author of the Epistle to the Hebrews writes:

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. By faith Abel offered God a better sacrifice than Cain did. By faith he was commended as a righteous man, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith he still speaks, even though he is dead. By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death; he could not be found, because God had taken him away. For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Hebrews 11:1-6 NIV, italics added).

In fact, the intrinsic nature of faith, hope, and love are such that they shouldn’t and can’t be reduced to mere logic. If God designed the universe so that His presence could be “proven” in the scientific, mathematical sense, faith wouldn’t have to be a decision of the heart. It would be mere acquiescence of the mind, motivated by necessity and fear but not by love. If faith, hope, and love were reduced to a logical decision, freedom would vanish. Who would dare stand against God if logic always seemed completely on the side of faith? If God’s existence and ultimate control were undeniable, people would obey out of fear and would struggle to conceal their resentment.

Rather than being a loving, heavenly Father who allows prodigals to make mistakes, repent, and come home to experience His love, He would be viewed as such an ominous authority that creatures would never dare become prodigals, who by returning to faith could discover freedom, individuality, calling, and love. Self-awareness would be overwhelmed by the obviousness of God’s presence. Creatures would be so engulfed by His power and glory that they couldn’t even begin to discover themselves. Love as we know it could never exist in such a world.

This may be why faith, hope, and love affirm logic but transcend it; why they must involve moral choice rather than mere logical deduction. This too may be why He employs randomness within the creative process, leaving profound evidence of His involvement and presence but doing nothing to coerce obedience.

1. “I believe that we Christians are warranted in seeing every potentially viable life form (or every viable variant of DNA) as something thoughtfully conceived in the mind of the Creator. As did Basil and Augustine, I believe that we may rightfully speak of God calling into being at the beginning, from nothing, all material substance and all creaturely forms (whether inanimate structures or animate life forms). And, still standing with Basil and Augustine, I believe that we may rightfully presume that the array of structures and life forms now present was not yet present at the beginning, but became actualized in the course of time as the created substances, employing the capacities thoughtfully given to them by God at the beginning, functioned in a gapless creational economy to bring about what the Creator called for and intended from the outset.

“In the context of this traditional Christian vision of God’s creative work . . . , we might now wish to employ the vocabulary of twentieth-century science and speak about the full array of functionally viable forms of DNA (and the creatures thereby represented) as constituting a ‘possibility space’ of potential life forms—this possibility space itself, along with all connective pathways, being an integral component of the world brought into being at the beginning. Furthermore, in the language of this theistic paradigm of evolutionary creation, we would speak of DNA being enabled by the Creator to employ random genetic variation as a means to explore and discover (in contrast to create) viable pathways and novel life forms so that the Creator’s intentions for the formative history of the Creation might be actualized in the course of time.

“See, then, what this evolutionary creation paradigm accomplishes: Do material processes have to create? No, the possibility space of viable and historically achievable life forms is an integral aspect of the world that God created at the beginning. Material systems need only employ their God-given functional capacities to discover some of the possibilities thoughtfully prepared for them. But, one might ask, how can such ‘mindless’ material processes function to bring about what appears to be the product of ‘intelligent design’? The point is that they are not really mindless at all. Rather, every one of these processes and every connective pathway in the possibility space of viable creatures is itself a mindfully designed provision from a Creator possessing unfathomable intelligence.

“It seems to me that this theistic paradigm provides precisely what the naturalistic (broad) paradigm—the blind watchmaker hypothesis—could not. It provides the answer to the question, How is it possible that such a remarkable array of life forms is not only viable but historically realizable within the economy of the world at hand? Could anything less than the infinite creativity and faithful providence of God suffice?” (Howard Van Til, First Things, July/August 1993)

What's your say?

What does Easter mean to you? It took us roughly 4-5 months to plan and organize it in order for it to work so well on that night. But although no matter how smoothly the event runs, it is nothing compared to how God changes the lives of people who went up and accepted Him as their personal Savior.

For few months or more, the committee members have been working very hard behind the scenes to come together to pray and discuss on the various tasks allocated for the rally. Organizing an event as big as this is not easy as what I think at first and it would never be throughout the whole process but I thank God for sending His angels and people to come support us along the way. Nothing can be done by man alone without the power of God.

On the actual day, most of us were still busy running here and there doing some final checkup and practices – worship practice, dance practice, checking the logistics, helping to set up the sound system, preparing the ushers, briefing, briefing and more briefing…Like how it was said, it was never easy in the beginning and in the end. No matter what, God still continued to strengthen us and assures us that He will help us and make this a blessed event. Most of us knew how UCSI students would take their own sweet time to come and some would only come if their friends come. As for myself, I was quite worried that only a few would attend as none of my friends gave their confirmation to come. Not really sure about others though….However, I was constantly silently praying in my heart that God will bring more people in on that night.

It was supposed to start at 7.30pm according to schedule. It was 7.45pm and the hall was only a quarter filled. We were contemplating whether should we wait a while longer or to start with such few attendees. Suddenly, a few minutes after that, people were rushing into the hall and as we saw the elevator opened every time, it is always full. Every single time we hear the elevator door opens, people were constantly coming in groups. As time passes by, more and more people filled the hall and we felt as if our prayers were answered. Not only did it fill all the chairs that were arranged, we need to arrange more chairs for people to sit. Look at how God answers our prayers and blessed us not only in full but in abundance. To my surprise, most of my classmates came as well to support me. I can’t describe how happy and joyful I was on that night. God really knows my heart and answered my prayers.

Eventually, the event started at 8pm and everyone was enjoying themselves with the performance especially the mime with the glowing gloves. It was the first time for my non-Christian friends to see such performances. They even asked me lots of questions regarding Easter the next day which gave me an opportunity to share about Christ with them.

All in all, the whole event and process was an answered prayer to me. After that day, my faith in God continues to grow for I know He is a faithful God that keeps His promises till the end of days and He does answers prayer. He really does! All glory and credit goes to Jesus Christ, my Personal Savior. Amen.

Stay tuned for testimonials and viewpoints of more CF members!

*Share a testimonial about yourself and how God has changed your lives, send them to ucsi_cf@yahoo.com Then, on December 31, 1999, the gunmen issued a final demand before releasing their hostages. "Sorry, but everyone has to say that I am forgiven," said the hijacker code-named "Burger." When the disbelieving passengers stared back at him, he ordered them to say, "I forgive you." After hearing the words, the hijackers disappeared into the desert.

Not many of us would be so arrogant as to insist that someone forgive us. And we certainly wouldn't demand that of God. Why? Because most people sense that His mercy and pardon can be received only by a humble, sincere, and repentant heart.

The apostle John wrote, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). The word translated "confess" means "to speak the same thing or agree with." When we confess our sins to God, we agree with Him about our sin, our need to be cleansed, and our need to forgive others who have wronged us (Matthew 6:15).

We cry out, "Pardon me!"

None of us is truly free without forgiveness. We need God's, and others need ours.

— David C.
